The Comprehensive Health Assessment for Teens (CHAT) provides organizations with a clinically validated instrument for assessing adolescents (ages 13-18). This tool can be used to guide treatment planning for adolescents who are in treatment or in the juvenile justice system or a youth treatment facility. CHAT follows a developmental approach that emphasizes the varying needs of young people; uses engaging multimedia (audio) to facilitate adolescents' self-administration; and assesses strengths as well as problem areas, providing a more comprehensive portrait for guiding treatment.
For a behavioral health assessment designed for adults, consider BHI-MV™.
Audio introductions and prompts throughout make the online program attractive and engaging for adolescents to use.
Improved quality assurance
Using an evidenced-based, standard¬ized assessment tool makes it easier for providers and other care organizations to measure the effectiveness and efficacy of programs.
Using the Data Center, you can track "real time" aggregate, de-identified data about clients and monitor changes and trends over time.
Enhanced client-treatment matching
The data from the client self-administered assessment are extracted and organized in clinical reports designed to assist healthcare providers in making the optimal treatment and placement decisions.
What our customers are saying
Before implementing the CHAT, a client might have two-to-three steps to complete before beginning treatment; now, the intake and assessment process is one step."- Andrea Meier, MS, LADC, LCMHC, Counseling Supervisor at Spectrum Youth & Family Services
